Apollo in France: what it does, what its page does not say, and the test that settles it

For its 240 million contacts, Apollo names three sources: its users who share their contacts, the public web and third-party providers; it does not publish the French share of its database. What it costs, when it remains the right choice, and a free test to settle it on your own target.

Apollo puts a contact database, email sequences and AI agents in one piece of software. Many French business owners try it first. One question comes quickly: does it find the right people in the companies I target, in France?

This article is written by the FindMyLead team, one of the tools compared. The other tools' prices were read on their pages on 14 October 2026, with links.

What Apollo costs in October 2026

Apollo shows its prices in US dollars only, per seat per month, excluding tax. Its page calls them an introductory price that may change (Apollo pricing page).

The Organization plan is billed annually, with 3 seats minimum. An email costs 1 credit, a phone number 8. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. The trial lasts 14 days, with 75 credits (Apollo pricing page).

An example: three people on the Basic plan with no commitment pay US$195 a month excluding tax, for 7,500 credits in total (Apollo pricing page).

What Apollo does well

  • A large database. Its page claims 240 million contacts and 30 million companies (pricing page), updated regularly, it says (Apollo home page).
  • Sending included. Email campaigns are part of every account, up to 250 emails a day on Basic and unlimited from Professional, according to the page's table (pricing page).
  • Deliverability. Buying domains and mailboxes, and warming up addresses, are offered from the Basic plan (pricing page).
  • Phone. Numbers are found for credits, and a dialer is built in (pricing page).
  • AI agents. According to Apollo, they run the searches, build the lists, write the messages and follow up (Apollo home page). The pricing page does not say which plans include them.

French data: what the page does not say

Apollo's pricing page says it is GDPR compliant. It says neither where its 240 million contacts come from nor how many work in France. Apollo names three sources: its users who share their contacts, the public web and third-party providers (Apollo's processing notice); it does not publish the French share of its database. So you cannot tell, before trying, whether it knows the CFO of the company you target.

One reason to check applies to every tool built on online professional profiles: a person with no profile is not in it. Pharow, a French competitor, measured it on its own database: 917,000 of 4.1 million French company directors have a LinkedIn profile linked in Pharow's database, all company sizes combined, a little more than one in five (Pharow article, October 2026).

That limit applies to FindMyLead too. Its data is more than 500 million professional profiles, from every country, according to our data provider (May 2026). A person with no profile is not in it.

So no global figure tells you what a database is worth on your clients. Only a test on your target does.

Choose Apollo if…

  • you need your contacts' phone numbers;
  • you prospect alone and want to start on a free plan, with no time limit;
  • you want a lot of emails for a per-seat price: 2,500 credits on Basic, that is 2,500 emails;
  • you send large volumes and want mailboxes and warm-up in the same tool.

What FindMyLead does differently

You describe the people to reach in one sentence: "Directors of consulting firms with 10 to 49 employees in Île-de-France". The AI turns it into criteria shown on screen (job, place, size, sector), which you correct. That search returned 1,326 people in October 2026, free to see and count (the founder use case).

A credit pays for one contact and their LinkedIn profile, once. Their work email is looked up at no extra credit, found or not, and a found address is marked verified or probable. The AI writes a LinkedIn message and an email for each person; you review before sending.

FindMyLead costs €69 a month for 500 credits, in euros, for the whole team, with no commitment, sending domains included (our pricing). VAT does not apply: the price shown is the price paid (our pricing).

What it does not do: it does not give mobile numbers yet, has no financial filters and no buying signals, and never acts on your LinkedIn account. You send the prepared LinkedIn message yourself.

The test that settles it

Do not choose from a comparison page, this one included. This test costs nothing.

  1. List twenty companies you know well: clients, former clients, prospects.
  2. For each one, write down the person you would want to reach: the director, the HR director or the CFO, with their name if you know it.
  3. Look for these people on Apollo's free plan: twenty emails cost 20 of its 75 credits.
  4. Run the same search on FindMyLead during the trial: seeing the people is free, adding twenty to a list costs 20 of the 25 credits.
  5. Count, for each tool: the right person found and still in the job, their LinkedIn profile, their email, and the errors (someone who left, a wrong job).

The tool that finds the most right people across your twenty companies is the right one for you, whatever figure its page shows.
